Join Aquarium Teen Program Coordinator Liz Whitlinger and campers with the Harbor Discoveries Schooner Adventure Camp. After a week of preparation, our crew of young explorers board a Grand Banks schooner and set sail for a five-day, four-night excursion exploring Massachusetts Bay.
On Thursday night we played capture the flag. We assigned captains, Siyanda being one and Tyler being the other. Being a captain showed good leadership skills. It also helped with problems and strategies.
This activity was also a good team building activity. We really got to know each other better and we cooperated well. It was good trying to work together and set positions that maybe not everyone wanted to play.
For instance, defense was not everyone’s favorite position so we had to work together to see who could do it. Overall it was a good experiencing made a good base relationship with everybody which is important since we’ll be living on a ship together for a week.
