Schooner Campers Visit Georges Island's Lady in Black

Join Aquarium Teen Program Coordinator Liz Whitlinger and campers with the Harbor Discoveries Schooner Adventure Camp. After a week of preparation, our crew of young explorers board a Grand Banks schooner and set sail for a five-day, four-night excursion exploring Massachusetts Bay.

We went to Georges Island. We explored the fort and learned about the [resident ghost called the]  “Lady in Black." We went into her tunnel and it was very dark; everyone was screaming. We turned into this one big room and there was a little hole in the room that let in a stream of light. Someone was waving a flashlight around while another person danced in a black veil pretending to be the Lady in Black’s ghost.
