Schooner camper thoughts before setting sail

Join Aquarium Teen Program Coordinator Liz Whitlinger and campers with the Harbor Discoveries Schooner Adventure Camp. After a week of preparation, our crew of young explorers board a Grand Banks schooner and set sail for a five-day, four-night excursion exploring Massachusetts Bay.

Here's some thoughts from a first time camper before setting sail:
The biggest thing that I am worried about on the schooner Spirit of Massachusetts is getting lost in the middle of the ocean. The reason why is because if we get lost you have no idea where you are.  Also you have a limited amount of food and water so if you run out you’re dead. That would be my biggest fear because I have terrible navigation senses.

And here's some thoughts from a returning camper, setting sail for her second time:
One year ago I signed up for the Schooner Adventures camp not knowing what to expect.  I had a blast meeting new people, playing games and doing all the different shifts on the boat.  I decided to come back because I had so much fun and I didn’t want to miss an amazing experience.  As soon as I could, I signed up to ensure my spot for this year!
